About
My name is Constantina Demosthenous
I'm Constantina Demosthenous, the founder of LifeCourse and a registered Clinical Psychologist in Cyprus (#116). I provide services in Greek, English, and French, and I'm dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges through compasionate, evidence-based care.
I hold a PhD in Psychology from the University of Cyprus and completed my professional training as a psychologist in France. My academic journey took me to the Universities of Montpellier and Paris, where I earned a two-year Master's degree in Gerontological Psychology—giving me a dual foundation in clinical psychology and the neuropsychology of ageing, combining both psychodynamic and cognitive approaches.
My professional developement led me to Systemic Therapy and postmodern approaches, namely Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Collaborative Therapy. I hold a two-year certificate in Collaborative Counselling, based on Brief Systemic Dialogical Therapy. My therapeutic approach synthesizes these methods, and is tailored to the unique needs, strengths, and goals of each individual.
For nearly 14 years, I worked as a Clinical Psychologist in Cyprus's public sector and the Directorate of Mental Health Services. During this time, I served across a range of departments, gaining extensive experience in psychological assessment, psychotherapy, training, and consultation. I have worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups across the lifespan and supported people facing a wide spectrum of mental health challenges.
Early in my career, I worked at Cyprus's first Day Care Centre for Dementia and Materia Care Home—both pioneering institutions in dementia and ageing care. Ageing remains my primary area of professional interest, with a particular focus on dementia, caregiving, cognitive health and psychological wellbeing in later life.
I am actively involved in the Cyprus Psychologists' Association, where I serve on the National Awarding Committee for EuroPsy. I have also contributed to the European Federation of Psychologists' Associations (EFPA) Standing Committee on Ageing, serving both as a member and as Convenor.
Building on this extensive clinical foundation, I founded LifeCourse to expand my work into the private sector, offering specialised psychological and consulting services in the field of ageing while contributing to research projects that bridge scientific knowledge and everyday clinical practice.
LifeCourse represents a natural continuation of my professional journey and my commitment to empowering people to take an active role in their mental health and wellbeing.
Whether you're navigating memory concerns, family dynamics, personal struggles, or other challenges, you can draw on over of a decade of extensive clinical experience tailored to your needs.
Welcome!
Services
Our psychological services offer tailored therapy designed to meet each client’s unique needs. We also provide neuropsychological assessments and cognitive rehabilitation to support mental functioning and overall well-being. Possibility for online sessions.

Psychological Consultation/Therapy
Psychological therapy provides a safe space for individuals, families, and couples to address various issues that concern them. Our goal is to empower people to explore their concerns, realize their abilities, enable them to cope with the stresses of life and develop as a person while working with the goals set by them in therapy.

Neuropsychological Evaluation
A neuropsychological evaluation examines cognitive functions in individuals to help identify conditions like dementia and Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). It is a thorough assessment offering important insights into cognitive strengths and weaknesses. It provides valuable information for diagnosis, intervention approaches and treatment response.

Cognitive Stimulation
An intervention designed to enhance individuals' quality of life by addressing cognitive challenges.
It involves a set of activities and exercises aimed at maintaining and enhancing cognitive abilities by engaging the brain in meaningful mental tasks, often used to support healthy aging and prevent cognitive decline.
